Mennica Skarbowa has begun sales in new online channels. Customers can already buy gold and investment silver offered by the company on Allegro and Empik platforms. The Management Board of Mennica Skarbowa is confident that the new sales channels will raise the company’s revenues in the medium term and significantly increase the number of customers. The company now sees that more and more orders for gold and investment silver are being routed through online channels.

Numerous studies show that the youngest investment customers are most likely to choose online shopping, which is why Mennica Skarbowa has been opening new sales channels on the Internet for several months. Among the company’s products offered on e-commerce platforms are dozens of types of gold bars and coins of various values. So far, the most popular bars on Allegro are: 10 g gold bar, 2.5 g gold bar and SmartPack, which is a blister consisting of ten 2 g bars assembled into a coherent whole in a blister. The product is much more than the previously known MultiCards or MultiDiscs, because when divided into smaller pieces – the 2 g bars remain in their original packaging and do not lose their value. Smartpack is an absolute market success. In Empik’s online store, customers are most eager to choose 1 g and 2 g gold bars and silver 1 ounce American Eagle coins.

– E-commerce is a globally growing market segment through which we buy various products. Our company notices a huge interest among our customers in buying gold, but also silver, through online channels. Currently, almost 25% of our sales are generated through these channels, and it is steadily growing. Poles are increasingly eager to buy gold and investment silver online, especially in small weights with values ranging from PLN 400 to a few thousand. Therefore, we decided to expand the number of channels through which Poles can purchase gold and investment silver from us. We have started selling our products through Allegro and Empik online platforms. Increasing the number of sales channels will enable us to reach a wider group of customers – especially younger ones – and will also make purchasing easier for customers, who will be able to decide on the right investment product at home. Products purchased through our online channels are shipped to the customer within 24 hours. In 2022, Mennica Skarbowa sold nearly 5 tons of gold in the form of coins and bars. The company offers classic gold bars weighing from 1 to as much as 1,000 grams, as well as so-called combibars – bars resembling a bar of chocolate, which are made up of smaller pieces of gold and can be easily broken off to sell or gift to a relative. Bullion coins also remain constantly popular among customers – classic ones, such as the Krugerrand, Maple Leaf, or Australian Kangaroo, as well as occasional ones, such as “Best Wishes on your Wedding Day”.
